Deputation

December was a full month for us as it was for many of you. We were able to present in 9 churches in Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida. God blessed us with five new churches taking us on for support. While we had issues with the transmission on the truck, we did not get stranded anywhere. On the way from Ohio to Tennessee, we started having issues. We were able to get an appointment with a dealership and the church that we were staying at allowed us to use their church van while the truck was in the shop. The dealership told us that the truck would be ready on a Friday night, but when we went to pick it up they told us that the truck was not running. We had to be in North Carolina for Sunday and were able to keep using the church van, and the place where we planned on parking the trailer had a missions apartment in it. Thank the Lord for providing for us through these troubles. We finally got our truck the next week and were able to bring our home with us.

Family

We flew Steele out with us while in Tennessee and visited several colleges with him. It would have been impossible to get all of this done without a vehicle, and expensive to rent one if needed, so we were very thankful to Higher Ground Baptist Church for allowing us to use their van. Steele is a little bit behind in the process because he fell behind in school when he was sick. He worked through the summer and is determined to graduate this year. Please pray that he would still be able to get into the right school and that God would get him where He wants him to be.

House

I wrote last month that the renter situation has gotten better, but apparently that was just while they were contacting a lawyer. We need wisdom on what to do with a situation with the house. Also, we had repairs scheduled to happen, but the contractor won’t respond to me. He was supposed to start work November 17th and yet I have not been able to get him to return a call or text.
