Deputation
January saw a lot of miles traveled for us. We Started in Florida and ended up in Oklahoma. We were in 11 churches and also made it to Missouri and Arkansas. The Lord blessed and we were able to get another 7 churches to partner with us.
Family
While in Florida, we were able to visit friends and family. Lisa’s brother and Nathan’s mother live in Florida and we were able to spend some time with both of them. Also, friends of ours who were instrumental in getting Lisa to come to church in Colorado have moved to Florida and we were able to spend a day with them.
Steele is still preparing for taking the ACTs and SATs with ACTs happening February 8th and the SATs on March 9th. He is doing well with practice tests, but he gets test anxiety and so we would appreciate prayers for him just remaining calm during the test.
Health
January was full of health issues across our family. Lisa ended up sick for the majority of a missions conference. After she was feeling better, she noticed dried blood in her ear and had to go to an urgent care. She is fine and is finished with her ear drops and antibiotics. Lisa flew to Texas today (Feb 5th) to get tests done after her pericarditis as well as take care of a few other doctors appointments while in town. Our granddaughter finally reached the height and weight requirements for a dental surgery that she needs. Praise the Lord that Lisa was going to be in town during the surgery and will be able to help Ashlyn as Ella Mae goes through the surgery.
Also, Nathan’s sister contacted him on a Saturday to see if they could talk on Monday about potential issues with his dad’s mental state. Then on Sunday his dad ended up falling and breaking his neck. He ended up in the hospital and then a rehab facility, and is now going to be moved into a memory care facility. We are looking for when will be best in our schedule to be able to go out and see him.
